Crunchyroll: College of Anime Studies
The College of Anime Studies collection reframed Crunchyroll as an institution of "higher" learning, translating the brand into a full collegiate apparel line. The campaign was built around tanuki mascot, Nuki, photographed fully unbothered and probably missing class to binge anime.
The second chapter pushed further and showed Nuki "customizing" the collection with plans to recruit classmates and indoctrinate a new class of anime fans one piece at a time. Thousands of units were hand bleach-splatter-dyed, with the process itself captured as social video content. We turned production into promotion and gave each piece a sense of authenticity that was hard to fake. Anime influencer partnerships amplified both drops, connecting the collegiate concept to the culture it was built for.
